Today is Employee Appreciation Day! Although every paycheck is an opportunity to show your employees appreciation, this also happened to line up almost perfectly with our Project Engineer's hire anniversary, so we thought it fitting to recognize the year of hard work he has put in here. Thank you for your dedication, flexibility, and great attitude, Jason! We are so glad to have you as part of our team here at EPS.
Since we recently acquired licenses in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Michigan, we wanted to share some imagery of our progression over the years. It's impressive to see how the solar industry has grown, and this is a nice visualization of our experience of that growth since we started in 2012.
As many of you know, today will be our last day in the office until January. We are all excited to have some time for family and relaxation, and we wanted to celebrate by designating today our First Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. Looking snazzy, right?
As the year closes, we want to share with you how grateful we are for all of our clients. We work in an extraordinary industry, and we count ourselves blessed to be a part of something that is making the world a better place. We appreciate your continued business and support, and we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Matt is now a registered Professional Engineer in New York and New Jersey. We should be adding Delaware to the list soon as well.
Let us know if you have any upcoming NY or NJ projects we can help with!
Everyone here at EPS is pretty excited about the Clean Power Plan announced today. We are proud to be part of an industry that makes the world a better place, and we are thrilled that it continues to grow and help more people. Here's to more jobs, cleaner energy, and a greener world!
Matt and Cassandra had a great time at Intersolar this year. We got to chat with clients, learn about innovations in the solar and EES worlds, and meet some new people. Matt was also invited to have some one-on-one face time with David Banks of CPP to discuss all things wind tunnel testing.
We are grateful to everyone who set aside time to speak with us (and to Jason for holding down the fort while we were out of the office), and we look forward to more meeting, greeting, and learning at SPI in a few weeks.
Just in case you missed it, here's a snippet of the Solar Rollers, a project by high school students to create solar-powered remote control cars. Looks like fun!
We are proud to announce that Matt is now licensed as a P.E. in Connecticut. If you have an upcoming project there, please contact us to see if we could work together.
We also have licenses pending in New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. We will let you know as soon as those all become official.
Matt and Cassandra are getting geared up to attend Intersolar North America in San Francisco in July. We are excited to visit with clients, learn about advances in solar technology, and meet some new people. Please let us know if you'll be going, if we should stop by your booth to say hi, or if you'd like to try to arrange an after-hours meeting to learn what we are about. See you in July!
We are thrilled to announce that we have found a new project engineer! Jason Serda, a Cal Poly alum and Paso Robles native, joined the team March 2, 2015. He is currently in training for our specialized field, and is a great fit here at EPS. We look forward to introducing him more thoroughly on "The Team" page. Welcome, Jason!
Our clients are important to us. We recognize that we would not exist without them, and we also just think it's the right thing to do, so we treat our clients the way we'd hope to be treated if we were on the other side of the fence. We have grown substantially since the company was started, but we don't want that to mean that our clients receive less from us.
In consideration of that, we are pleased to announce that we are in the process of recruiting a project engineer. This will enable us to continue to grow, take on new clients, and new projects, while continuing to deliver the level of service our clients choose us for. Stay tuned to meet our new team member as soon as we bring him or her on!
